In Italian, palazzetto means "little palace", a name that reflects the building's 19th-century heritage and stately elegance. Today, Il Palazzetto feels like an intimate private residence in the heart of Rome, with unique event spaces ready to set the scene for memorable occasions.
The third and fourth floors house four boutique hotel rooms, each designed in classic Hassler style. Three of the rooms look out over Piazza di Spagna, offering rare views of the steps. The fourth room opens onto the charming Vicolo del Bottino. Both views feel intimately connected to the soul of the city.
Step onto one of the two panoramic terraces to watch the sunset over the city, a glass in hand and Rome’s rooftops unfolding before you. For private events, Il Palazzetto offers a refined setting with views that elevate every gathering. From elegant celebrations like birthdays and anniversaries to glamorous gala dinners or cocktail parties, or exclusive events like press conferences or business launches, our spaces are ready to welcome you and your guests.

The History
Originally built as a 19th-century residence for a noble Roman family, Il Palazzetto has always drawn admiration for its views and intimate character. It's these same features that inspired us to turn it into a boutique private residence, preserving the intimate atmosphere that the family so adored.
In 1999, we were fortunate to bring it into the Hassler Family and make it part of the Hassler Roma experience. Guided by the dignified architecture, the cozy atmosphere, and the incredible views, our transformation of the residence into a boutique hotel sought to highlight those elements in the rooms on the third and fourth floors by adding warm, neutral tones and luxurious fabrics like velvet and satin, preserving understated elegance with a welcoming charm.
To bring guests even closer to the city’s beauty, two panoramic terraces were created, perfect for relaxing and for hosting small events nestled between the sky and the rooftops of Rome. The Palazzetto is open daily, serving aperitivos and small bites so that you can relax while enjoying the incredible location.
Guests enjoy full access to all the services of Hotel Hassler Roma, including breakfast, concierge service, the Amorvero SPA wellness and fitness center, and the panoramic 7th-Floor Terrace.
